The Enabled Centre was formed through a merger of two centres, Enabled Art and New Horizons.

The centres joined together and moved into the current premises in October 2012, bringing together service users and staff to provide a range of activities.

"To facilitate independent living opportunities for disabled people"

The centre provides a wide range of art and craft activities, led by Art Facilitators. The Activity Facilitator and Care and Support staff ensure their is a choice of other activities including drama, poetry, cooking, singing, games, movies etc.

The centre is also able to deliver AIM awards, enabling service users to improve their skills whilst working towards accredited certificates in various activities.

Trained and experienced Care and Support staff provide encouragement  and assistance to service users as required, including meeting any personal care needs.

The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 4.30pm, except for bank and statutory holidays.

The Enabled Centre is a social enterprise activity, one of a number of services working within the Disability Syndicate.

The Syndicate supports the work of Disability Direct, a charity providing advice, information and activities to facilitate independent living opportunities for disabled people.
